Various types of handset are available for use on the Uninversity Telephone System.

They all boil down to one of three handset types: Analogue : Digital : DECT. Please select a handset type for more information.

Analogue handsets

Telecoms office can supply you with a standard analogue telephone, the Interquartz Enterprise Basic (as pictured above).

Other handsets may have been purchased independent of the telecoms office, e.g. BT Converse, BT Paragon or other cordless phones.

We are happy to order alternative handsets for our suppliers. Please contact the telecoms office for further information.

Digital handsets - specifically designed for use with Siemens HiPath digital telephone exchange

DECT handsets - specifically designed for use with Siemens HiPath digital telephone exchange

(Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) - HiPath DECT is installed in the following buildings: Kings Gate, Music, Badilly-Clark, NUBS, Wolfson, Paul O'Gorman, Culture Lab, & Devonshire.
