Important Information

Customer Portal (Staff) and Student Portal (Registration https://support.ansys.com)

Academic Staff may register for the main customer portal. Software downloads and technical support are available along with a host of materials to enhance the use of the products.

Students may register for the Student Portal. Comprehensive materials encourage students to find the answer to many of their questions by themselves – reducing the load on academic staff and fostering research-based learning skills. If you're unable to find the answer to a question, student support should be routed through University staff as a first line filter. A staff member can then escalate to ANSYS support via the main customer portal if required.

Once a staff member has registered on the main portal, they can change their status on the account to 'professor' so that students can link to them when registering for the Student Portal.

Teaching Resources

On the main customer portal, for which staff can register, there are many teaching resources for academic users.

Overseas Campuses - Our licenses include a UK-Wide LAN distance extension for staff and students who are normally located and registered at the UK institution. Overseas licenses should be purchased in the local sales territory.
