To upload files to NUVision

• Login to the media library https://nuvision.ncl.ac.uk and click Upload (Up arrow at the top of the screen)
• Follow the on-screen prompts

NUVision generates thumbnails for your media file.  If preferred you can supply your own thumbnail in the form of a .jpg file with dimensions 320 pixels wide x 240 pixels high.

You will be sent an email when your uploaded file is ready to view.

File sizes and types

The media library can “ingest” files less than 1000 MB with the following file formats. 

Videos

• AVI
• DiVX (3.11, 5, 6+), Indeo Codecs, Intel Indeo / iTU, MS MP4, XViD, Techsmith Screen, VP6, X264, MJPEG
• MP4
• DiVX, XViD, 3ViX, H.264, MPEG 4 Part 2, MOV, H.263, H.264, MPEG 4 Part 2, Sorenson (including Animation)
• Apple LossLess audio is unsupported in all of the above
• FLV
• VP6, H.264, DV, DV PAL/NTSC, DVCPro PAL/NTSC, MPEG, MPEG 1, MPEG 2
• WMV
• Windows Media v7+, Windows Media Screen, Windows Media Uncompressed  Windows Media Audio v7+
  *Windows Media with DRM is unsupported
• WAV, MP3,WMA
