Microsoft Development Software for All

Microsoft makes some of its development software available to all members of the University under the "Imagine Standard" program.  (The enhanced "Imagine Premium" program is available to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Students and Staff).  

The Imagine Standard offer includes:

  • Visual Studiologos2 Pro
  • SQL server
  • Windows Server

Imagine Usage Guidelines:

  • The software agreement is between Microsoft and the user. It is not University-owned software.
  • Ensure that you read and understand the system requirements before installing any Microsoft products.
  • You may use the software for non-commercial purposes including instructional use, research and/or design, development and testing of projects for class assignments or personal projects. You may not use the software for any for-profit software development.
  • When you are no longer a registered student/member of staff in a department that is a member of Imagine Premium, you may no longer receive updates for your personal use computer. However, you may continue to use previously installed software on your computer, provided you continue to follow the program guidelines.
  • If you violate the terms of the licence agreement and end-user licence agreement (EULA), the Imagine Program Administrator will demand confirmation of removal of the program software on your personal use computer.
  • As defined by Microsoft's terms of use, not all software is available to all users.
