The Covid IT Scheme has now closed to new applications. If you have any queries about a laptop you currently have on loan you can get in touch by email studentITscheme@ncl.ac.uk

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to offer new or replacement laptops after 7 May but the laptops have a warranty until 2023 please contact the IT Service Desk on 0191 208 5999 or via https://nuservice.ncl.ac.uk

Returning a laptop

You can return your loan laptop to King’s Gate Level 1 reception desk Monday-Friday, there’s no need to book a slot.

How to access support

We are still offering IT support in addition to our on-campus computer clusters and study spaces, via:

  1. 4 week laptop loan from the Library.
  2. An eligibility assessment for a long-term laptop loan via the specialist learning and disability team.
  3. A new additional hardship fund for students who can’t afford IT to support their studies.
