The systematic gathering of student opinion is an essential component of our quality assurance and quality enhancement mechanisms at Newcastle University.
We gather student opinion at every stage, from module and stage evaluations to surveys focussing on the whole degree.
This approach is informed by the Student Evaluation of Teaching Policy, and supported by the procedures for institutional and national surveys.
The Educational Policy and Governance Service coordinates the University's involvement in all internal and national student opinion surveys. We assist in the dissemination of quantitative and qualitative data and report to Programme Areas, Schools, UEC, Senate, and Executive Board. We also help close the student feedback loop by identifying actions taken in response to student feedback through Student Voice Forum.
