The early stages of working on a research project or dissertation are full of possibility and potential, but how do you know what’s the right direction for you, and get started? Join our WDC tutors Helen and Sarah as they discuss the highs and lows of finding your direction on a research project that will be the capstone of your undergraduate or masters degree, and ask them for their tips and advice.

Hello undergraduate and Master’s students! If you’re working on your Literature Review this semester, WDC tutors Nicky and Caroline are at hand to answer all your questions and share their top tips. Whether you’re at the very start of the process or whether you’re just polishing your Literature Review up and knocking it into shape, this is the session for you. We’ll be able to cover everything from ‘erm, what actually *is* a Literature Review?’ to critical reading, to critical writing and more. Why don’t you join us?!

Feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work you feel you need to do and all the online notifications that are competing for your attention? Join our tutors as they talk all things time management, from how to create a sense of structure and accountability when studying from home, to making informed decisions about how much work is ‘enough work.’
They’ll be chatting about how to stay motivated and productive whilst taking care of your own wellbeing, and sharing their top tips for making the most effective use of your time. You’ll also have the opportunity to put your own questions to them throughout the session.
