ePortfolio is a tool designed by the University that supports students' reflective learning process.
It helps students to understand:
The Personal Tutoring system in the University is in place to provide students with pastoral support and advice while here. The Personal Tutor is there to help with any issues students may have, from personal problems that may be affecting studies, to giving advice when picking modules, to just being available for a chat about progress so far. To ensure a consistent approach to personal tutoring, it is a University requirement that tutors record their meetings with their tutees in ePortfolio.
The minimum frequency of recorded meetings in ePortfolio is in line with the Personal Tutoring Framework, which states,"Tutors will meet with their students at least twice during their first semester in the University and offer students at least one tutor meeting per semester after Semester 1."
Further information and support is available from the Learning and Teaching Development Service, and from the ePortfolio section of the Learning and Teaching Blog.
We offer a number of workshops and webinars on the wide range of features in ePortfolio.
