PhD student Laura Wadkin awarded Early Career Fellowship from the London Mathematical Society

Applied mathematics PhD student Laura Wadkin has been awarded an Early Career Fellowship from the London Mathematical Society.

The LMS EC Fellowships provide support to mathematicians who have recently or will shortly receive their PhD to facilitate the next step in their academic careers.  Laura's Fellowship will begin after her PhD submission in September 2020, under the supervision of Dr Nick Parker and Professor Anvar Shukurov for sixth months.

Laura's research develops mathematical models of human embryonic stem cell behaviours and her work during the Fellowship will focus on the modelling of spatial patterns in pluripotency within stem cell colonies.
