Teaching resources and e-learning software development.
The School of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics works with schools and businesses across the UK to provide specialist support, services and resources.
We work hard to promote the study of mathematics, statistics and physics at A Level and beyond. Each year, we run several events for secondary school students, and prepare special mathematics challenge questions for teachers. You can find out more on our page about Outreach for Schools.
Our e-learning unit specialises in researching, developing and implementing digital materials for e-learning and e-assessment in mathematics, statistics and numeracy. Most notably, the unit developed the Numbas e-assessment system which is widely used by the higher-education community.
