Bayesian methodology for complex models

Bayesian methodology for complex models

The statistics research group has a long track-record of research in Bayesian statistics, particularly computational approaches, together with expertise in the construction and analysis of complex hierarchical models.

Interests lie across a very diverse range of areas but some highlights include:

  • stochastic differential equation models
  • sequential Monte Carlo algorithms
  • Bayesian solutions for models with intractable likelihood
  • Bayesian inference for phylogenetic trees
  • Bayesian analysis of ranked data
  • prior specification and elicitation
