Support for Students

Mentoring

Newcastle University runs a Peer Mentoring scheme for undergraduate students in all courses. In their first term, peer mentors help students to transition into university life by giving advice and guidance. We also run a Mentoring Network to support the career development of our postgraduate students.

Students are also encouraged to sign up as Student Ambassadors. They provide peer support for other students and work with prospective students in local schools and colleges. Some schools offer a buddy system to help students settle in.

Funding

Various sources of funding are available for undergraduates. This includes those who have dependents or disabilities.
