My research aims to define the dynamics of endogenous RNA modifications during immunoinflammatory processes that will help us to better understand the physiological immune responses. My long-term goal is to provide novel prognostic/diagnostic and therapeutic platforms for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMID), marked by derailed immunoinflammatory processes, such as autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular disease (e.g atherosclerosis), cancer, and other relevant pathological conditions.
I am an elected member of the American Heart Association's (AHA) Genomic & Precision Medicine Early Career Council.
My research work has received commendations by basic research councils' of UK, European and American non-profit organizations.
