Previously, Cameron studied BA English and Sport Science at Loughborough University where he also worked as a Research Assistant on the Structured Health Intervention for Truckers (SHIFT) study conducted within the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences. SHIFT was a clustered, randomised-control trial designed to support truck drivers by promoting physical activity and positive lifestyle behaviours through health assessments. Cameron was involved in both data collection and processing and offered technical support across other projects.
Cameron studied a Master in Public Health (MPH) at Newcastle University, culminating in the submission of his dissertation which qualitatively examined COVID-19 vaccination experiences in adolescents across the north-east. This was done through semi-structured remote interviews which were thematically analysed to facilitate the development of relevant, evidence-based policy and practice recommendations.
Cameron is currently working as a Research Assistant within the Translational and Clinical Research Institute within the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Newcastle University on the Mobilise-D project. Mobilise-D is a 5-year, IMI-funded project that will produce validated and accepted digital mobility outcomes to monitor daily life gait of people with different mobility problems.
