Research
I work in Sasha Kraskov's Motor Neuroscience group, specialising in histology of the human motor system. I locate, characterise and image healthy and disease states of the motor system, such as motor neuron disease, using histochemistry, fluorescent immunohistochemistry & optogenetic viruses. I also hold extensive experience in brightfield, fluorescent and electron microscopy, as well as automated microscopy, image processing and quantitative and qualitative image analysis, and purification of optogenetic viruses.
