Background

I currently work as a Clinical Research Administrator offering administrative support for neuromuscular clinical trials. I am involved within a variety of different projects and trials and assist in organising meetings, supporting communications and helping with data entry.

I have worked as a Helpdesk Manager within the European Reference Network for Neuromuscular Diseases (EURO-NMD). The network focuses on allowing expert knowledge and information to travel so patients and clinicians no longer need to. The current system I work with is the Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS). The system allows clinicians to enrol anonymised patients data and invite clinicians to contribute on cases if they require advice on diagnosis or treatment.

I am very interested in healthcare and the neuromuscular field. I think it’s important to begin looking at the different ways to utilise technology effectively in order to reduce the cost, stress and time for patients and clinicians.
