Background
I am a clinician working in paediatrics, with a particular interest in primary immunodeficiencies and their management. I am undertaking a PhD, working with Professor Andy Gennery on a project funded by the Job Research Foundation investigating the health status, quality of life, and outcomes of patients with Job's syndrome (hyper-IgE syndrome due to dominant negative mutations in STAT3).
Research
Investigating Health Status and Quality of Life in Patients with AD HIES (Job's Syndrome)
In collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and the National Institutes of Health, Maryland, USA, we are setting up a multicentre study to delineate the clinical evolution and health status of patients with Job's syndrome (autosomal dominant hyper IgE syndrome due to dominant-negative mutations in STAT3). We are also exploring the health-related quality of life in this cohort through use of validated questionnaires.
