I am a public health researcher with a special interest in developing effective and accurate ways to measure self-reported health. My academic background is in Pharmacy and Mental Health and I have work experience in pharmaceuticals industry, academia and consultancy. I am currently part of the Health Economics and Evidence Synthesis group at Newcastle University.
My PhD thesis consisted of developing two questionnaires designed to improve doctors’ detection levels of depression and anxiety disorders. I undertook this thesis in Barcelona, Spain as part of a Health Services Research group (Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute).
My main research interests are:

- Mental health
- Health inequalities
- Social care
