I joined Newcastle University in March 2022 as a Research Associate for the Faculty of Medical Science, working alongside Emma Adams and Dr Sheena Ramsay. Prior to that I worked in the charitable sector for a short period after completing my PhD in 2021 at Teesside University. I would describe myself primarily as a sociologist but with a broad range of interests spanning all of the Social Sciences. My PhD was an ethnographic study of various forms of emergency food sites in the Teesside area. I am currently involved in the evaluation of the ‘Everyone In’ initiative, learning what can be done for improving the health outcomes both physically and mentally, for those experiencing homelessness during the pandemic.
