Staff Profile

I am a research associate working within the Wellcome Centre for Mitochondrial Research Institute of Translational and Clinical Research Faculty of Medicinal Sciences, and am funded by the International Centre for Genomic Medicine and Neuromuscular Diseases. Here, I am a bioinformatician and use genomic analysis techniques to support the larger group.

Previous to this position I completed a PhD at Newcastle University where I focussed on developing new techniques for the research of longitudinal microRNA-mRNA expression analysis datasets. 

I am interested in advances in bioinformatics, specifically in the fields of genomics and transcriptomics. 

I also have a keen interest in developments in the Bioconductor community as a developer myself.
