Staff Profile

Alison Clapp

I worked as a veterinary surgeon in mixed, mainly farm practice for many years.

Looking for a new challenge I completed a Masters degree online in food safety management, which led me to developing science-related online courses, originally for Manchester Metropolitan and UCLan universities.

I have worked at Newcastle University since 2010. I develop online courses for the Faculty of Medical Sciences Graduate School as well as online resources for blended learning for undergraduates in the FMS covering many different topic areas, in particular ageing.

I also provide training for staff in online pedagogy and the use of technology for teaching online within the FMS.
