Showcasing Research in Organ Donation and Transplantation

Date/Time: 7th February 2018, 12:00 to 17:00

Venue: Institute of Transplantation, Freeman Hospital

Newcastle University and the University of Cambridge, along with their associated transplant units, are funded by The National Institute for Health Research, in partnership with NHS Blood & Transplant, to deliver research focussing on organ donation and transplantation. Research teams across both sites are exploring ways to improve the availability and quality of organs for transplantation and we’d like to share with you our progress so far. If you’d like to hear how we are developing ways to assess, prepare and transplant high quality organs so that patients can have the best possible outcomes, please join us at this interactive, drop-in event to be held at The Institute of Transplantation, Freeman Hospital, on Wednesday 7th February, from12 midday – 5pm.

Sessions will be delivered in ‘bite-size’ chunks so that you can dip in and out depending on your personal interests and availability, and it’s not just about us – we’d like to hear your views, questions and research ideas too!
