BUS3015 : Management Practice Seminars (Inactive)

Semester 1 Credit Value: 10
ECTS Credits: 5.0

To provide a student-centred small group-learning environment in which key areas of management can be studied and discussed through the medium of case-study.

To develop the ability to apply theory and concepts developed in core Busiess Management modules to realistic business situations.

Outline Of Syllabus

Students will be allocated into seminar groups and the seminar leaders will select case materials for each group. The discussions will cover different aspects related to general management, such as strategy, operations, finance etc. The main purpose is to leave seminar leaders to run the seminars based on their own background and case materials selected. There is no fixed subject or themes as such because the module is not designed to 'teach', but rather encourage students to apply the theories they learned from year 1 and 2 as much as possible into the seminar discussions and group work
