Newcastle University Intra Mural Sport Accreditation Scheme (NCL+ Award)

Recognition for your extracurricular activity

With employers looking to recruit graduates with experiences and skills that are valuable and transferable in the workplace such as team work, communication, management and leadership, Intra Mural Sport is one of the environments within which students can demonstrate such skills. These programmes offer students the opportunities to learn and develop skills and attributes that can enhance their employability after graduation.

Accreditation Scheme (NCL+ Award) - What is it?

The Sports Centre recognises that as an Intra Mural Team Captain you are gaining valuable transferable skills which can be helpful both during your time at University and to highlight to potential employers after graduation. In partnership with the Careers Service a university-wide accreditation scheme called the NCL+ AWARD will be open to all students.

This scheme will provide you with opportunities to learn and develop these skills. Successful students will get certificates, be invited to an achievement ceremony at the Students Union and you will gain a formal recognition of this from Newcastle University via your HEAR document. HEAR is your Higher Education Achievement Report, and replaces your degree transcript as your record of what you have achieved whilst at University.

What does it involve?

If you are a current Intra Mural Team Captain you would be eligible to complete the award. All you need to do is fulfill the individual criteria needed to gain your award and apply. Click on your role below to find out the criteria required.

So it’s really nothing more than you are already doing!
