Background

I have been a Trial Manager at the Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU) since June 2017. I am currently working on the following clinical trials:

  • Dual Bronchodilators in Bronchiectasis Study (DIBS). Full trial title: A pragmatic, multicentre, placebo-controlled, 3-arm, double-blinded, randomised controlled trial, incorporating an internal pilot, to determine the role of bronchodilators in preventing exacerbations of bronchiectasis.

My role as a Trial Manager includes managing a portfolio of research studies from set-up through to delivery and close down, including site monitoring.

Experience

I have 15 years of experience of working in research; as a laboratory based scientist as well as in trial management roles. I have worked in both academic and health care settings on a variety of research projects including translational research and first-in-human, CTIMP, ATMP and surgical clinical trials.  .
