Background

I have a background in biological science research as well as extensive administrative experience both in the private and public sectors. 

In addition to my administrative role I also act as Wellbeing Ambassador for the Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit, and I am one of many Menopause Champions within the University.




Research

Current Trials:

  • Minimally invasive thoracoscopoically-guided right minithoracotomy versus conventional sternotomy for mitral valve repair: a multicentre randomised controlled trial (UK Mini Mitral)
  • Multicentre, open-label, prospective, single arm study of the safety and impact of Eculizimab withdrawal in patients with atypical haemolytic uraemic syndrome: Stopping Eculizumab Treatment Safely in aHUS (SETS aHUS)
  • Obeticholic Acid for the Amelioration of Cognitive Symptoms Trial Programme (OACS-1, OACS-2, OACS-3)
