Follow in my Green Food Steps: changing cooking behaviours in Nigeria for improved iron intake
Agriculture Seminar Series - Dr Rene Lion, Wageningen University
Date/Time: Wednesday 3 October 2018, 12:00 - 13:00
Venue: Agriculture Building, Room 3.05
Knorr aims to combat nutritional iron-deficiency - one of the 10 leading factors for disease, disability and death.
They're combining the launch of iron-fortified bouillon cubes with the “Follow in my Green Food Steps” behaviour change programme.
The programme targets two behaviours, the addition of iron-fortified bouillon cubes and a bunch of green leafy vegetables to stews.
The lunchtime lecture will present the "Follow in my Green Food Steps" programme and the outcome of a randomised community study in south west Nigeria that assessed the effectiveness of the programme.
