Newcastle University has a Teacher's Toolkit and Library Resources.

Royal Society of Chemistry

The Royal Society of Chemistry has a range of online resources. The links below will lead you to some of the best.

A Level specific

Bestchoice is a learning support website with options for ALL UK A Level exam specifications.

Spectra School has support for teaching spectroscopy (mass, i.r., u.v., 1H and 13C n.m.r. spectra for over 50 compounds).

Interactive Lab Primer is support for practical techniques, including explanations, animations and narrated video clips. These cover practical techniques needed at both A-level and stage 1 undergraduate level.

There are also resources on the Periodic Table, and they have Chemistry software.

Secondary resources

The following are Royal Society of Chemistry websites to support Chemistry teaching:

The following are free online databases of spectra.

NIST WebBook is a collection of IR/UV/VIS/Mass spectra and physical property data for small molecules. It is maintained by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology. It is searchable by compound name and formula.

The National Institute of Advanced Science and Technology of Japan provides databases concerning organic compounds and their spectra (NMR/MS), catalysts and 'green' chemistry.

Organic Chemistry Resources and Organic Chemistry Portal also have  a range of information.
