Calling all budding marine biologists and engineers!
World Oceans Day Competition for Schools
An exciting opportunity for school pupils from Year 5 to Year 13 to submit their ideas and research on ways we can protect our oceans. Poster topics can have a science or a design/technology focus.
Lots of fantastic prizes to be won for the teams and their schools. Prizes for artistic creativity too!!
- Pupils from Year 5 to Year 13 are eligible to apply
- Submit a poster on a theme connected to oceans and sustainability
- Submissions can be by individuals, or teams up to classes of 32 pupils
- Fantastic prizes ranging from book tokens to days out on Fisheries Patrol boats and Newcastle University’s research vessel
- Register your team online here
- Deadline for submission of your project is 2pm on Wednesday 20th May 2020 - online submission
- Celebration event on 8th June in the Sage Gateshead where the winners will be announced
