Our introductory course to the exciting world of Marine Science.

Location: Dove Marine Laboratory, Cullercoats, and field trips Age group: 15-18 years

The Dove Marine Laboratory holds an introductory course to Marine Science. The week-long course is aimed at Year 10 to 13 students who have a keen interest in marine topics, and will run from 9:30am to 3pm each day during the week of 19th to 23rd August 2019.

We would like to offer students the opportunity to participate in this week-long marine-themed summer school.

Exciting interactive activities and inspiring talks

Students will experience an exciting range of interactive and curriculum-linked activities related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), with emphasis on marine. 

Students will be inspired by leading experts and personalities who are passionate about the wide variety of careers within the marine environmental sector.

In addition, students will develop investigative and presentation skills, personal effectiveness and self-confidence.
