I am an Agricultural Economist and my research has primarily been in the field of agribusiness management, environmental sustainability, efficiency and productivity analysis. I have a high proficiency in applying analytical techniques to explore the economics of resource use efficiency within farm businesses and households. Thus, I have sound analytical skills with well-disciplined approaches and frameworks for analysing complex issues of economics and management.

My Phd research investigated the economic effect of pesticide use reduction in French Crop farming Systems. I have also worked on an ESRC-funded project where I explored the impact of agricultural policy scenarios following Brexit by integrating state of the art modelling approaches at farm level. Currently, I am working on an Healthy Livestock project with specific focus on tackling Antimicrobial Resistance through improved livestock Health and Welfare.

Completed Research Projects:

Brexit: How might UK Agriculture Thrive or Survive? Funded by Economic and Social research Council (ESRC). It assessed the economic impacts of a selected number of UK trade and domestic agricultural policy scenarios following Brexit and this was achieved by integrating state of the art economic modelling approaches at macro, sector and farm levels. Exploring the impact of low input technology on the profitability and sustainability of UK Agriculture funded by Enviresearch foundation. The research explored the links between technology choice, economic and environmental performance of UK dairy farmers. In addition, the research reinforced the importance of sustainable intensification and cost efficiency of UK dairy farms
