Our Chemistry MSc provides advance training across organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry.

The course will allow you to achieve a high level of research competence.

The research project and dissertation will provide you with training in tackling and communicating the results of a significant research problem in chemistry.

You will also gain experience in relevant aspects of laboratory work, including COSHH and safety.

Drug Chemistry

We developed the Drug Chemistry MSc to provide training in modern organic and medicinal chemistry.

This is from conception to development, and through to the production of novel drugs.

It allows you to gain hands-on experience of working within a medicinal chemistry team as part of your research project.

The MSc is a starting point for a research career. It provides you with the skills required for employment in industries including:

  • pharmaceutical
  • biopharmaceutical
  • biotech industries

You could also use it as a stepping stone into PhD research.

Drug Chemistry MSc

Through the Drug Discovery Programme, our researchers are discovering new targeted drug therapies in the fight against cancer.
