My research investigates the effects of food composition on the characteristics of pathogen induced anorexia in broiler chickens infected with Eimeria maxima.

Pathogen induced anorexia is a paradox because it happens when the nutrient resource requirements are increased due to exposure to pathogens. My PhD supervisors are Professor Ilias Kyriazakis and Dr Panagiotis Sakkas and Professor Damer Blake from the Royal Veterinary College.
