Marine Biology, Ecosystems and Governance

About

Our creative multi-disciplinary research encompasses the conservation science and dynamics of marine ecosystems, and issues in marine spatial planning.

We study the full range of marine ecosystems from intertidal through to the deepest ocean trenches. Our group has particular expertise in reef and vent systems, marine food webs and coastal management.

We collaborate with regional, national and international partners to deliver research that impacts policy, especially in relation to marine protected areas, fisheries, tourism and offshore renewables.
