Co-located with two other centres of national expertise, the National Innovation Centre for Data and the National Institute for Health Research Innovation Observatory (NIHRIO), the building provides a space where people can chat, meet, and collaborate.

Spread over five floors, the buildings 100,000 sq ft provides a mix of public areas and co-working spaces  including:

  • flexible Grade A office space
  • hot desking and co-working spaces
  • a range of meeting and huddle rooms
  • spacious, collaborative open innovation and break out spaces
  • 20 seat Board Room with panoramic views across the Newcastle skyline
  • sociable kitchen and eating areas
  • showers, changing facilities and racks for 30 bikes

Specialist facilities include:

  • market research rooms
  • data visualisation suite
  • large scale prototyping and demonstration facilities with access to all services
  • unique dementia friendly meeting room
  • 180 seat TED style theatre
  • exhibition space and café

With active in-house support to facilitate networking, collaboration, a dynamic programme of events, public exhibitions, prototype demonstrations, talks and conferences the building welcomes businesses, applied research organisations and relevant support organisations actively engaged in bringing ageing related products to market.
