Professor Lynne Corner

Professor Lynne Corner is Director of Engagement at the Uk's National Innovation Centre for Ageing.  She leads VOICE Global - a large organisation established to harness the insights and experience of the public for research and innovation.  Lynne also leads Patient Involvement for the NIHR Newcastle Biomedical Research Centre and is a member of INVOLVE. 

A social geronotologist with over 20 years research experience, she has a particular interest in involving the public in research on ageing, health and demographic change and how research can be translated for societal and economic impact and benefit.  Lynne also specialises in dementia research and in technologies for an ageing population and is interested in assessment of well-being and service evaluation.  She is a member of the SiDE (Social Inclusion through the Digital economy) team - a major EPSRC funded project based at Newcastle University - and also the Livewell team. Prof. Corner also directs the NE Dementia Innovation Hub and chairs the NE Dementia Alliance - a stakeholder group established by the Department of Health to support the effective implementation of the National Dementia Strategy in the North East.
