Dr Yu-Tzu Wu

I have a background in public health and epidemiology and am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher focusing on healthy ageing and epidemiological research. Throughout my PhD and postdoctoral periods, I have worked on several reviews related to the worldwide epidemiology of dementia, including prevalence, incidence and their trends. I have also carried out complex data analyses for different research projects focusing on factors related to living well with dementia, health inequalities in later life across multiple cohort studies. My research interests focus on investigating the impact of the environment on healthy ageing through quantitative research methods. Working with several UK-based cohorts of ageing and dementia, I have developed novel research methods to integrate environmental data (the built and natural environments, weather conditions) and individual health data from cohort studies and investigate the relationships between environmental factors, physical and mental health conditions in later life.
