Dr Nur Aiza Othman

Lead in Ophthalmology, Special Senses week, FOCP & Assistant Lead in Electives

Dr Aiza Othman graduated from University of Wales, College of Medicine, Cardiff, UK in 1996. Following this, she worked in Wales before moving to London. She trained in various specialties including Neurosurgery before choosing Ophthalmology as her specialty of interest. She has years of experience in clinical and surgical Ophthalmology in the UK before coming back to Asia. She is now a part time Senior Clinical Lecturer and an enthusiastic Medical teacher. Last year, she became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK after completing her Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from Newcastle University.

As an avid traveller and an active member of the Rambling Society at medical college, she enjoys the outdoor. Her interest in travels has led to her enthusiasm in her role, offering advice on students’ elective placements.
