Peter and Norah Lomas PhD Scholarship in Economics

The studentship will cover PhD fees at the home rate (£ 4,500 for 2021/22) and a stipend equal to that provided by ESRC scholarships (rate of £15,609 for 2021/22).

International students can opt to have the scholarship to fully cover the fees at the international rate (£ 18,000 for 2021/22) and receive a stipend of £ 2,109. They would need to indicate their preferred choice only after the notification of the award.

Students can also apply for paid research or teaching opportunities when they arise in the School. These are paid at standard hourly rate, based on qualifications and experience.

MA History of Medicine, Wellcome Trust Studentship

The scholarship includes the Home rate of tuition fee. 100% of UK fees plus an annual living allowance of £16,000 and a personal research and development fund of £250. Successful international candidates will be required to fund the difference between UK fees and international fees.
