Q: I have received my confirmation of place for my postgraduate programme but I have not received my registration e-mail yet. What do I do?
Q: I have received my confirmation of place for my postgraduate programme but I have not received my registration e-mail yet. What do I do?A: Postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students will receive their confirmation of place before their registration e-mail. Registration details for postgraduates who have September start dates are sent at the end of August, so if you receive your confirmation of place earlier in the year then don't worry if you don't receive your registration e-mail straight away. If you find that your e-mail still hasn't arrived when by the end of September then please contact us at student-registration@ncl.ac.uk so that we can check your record.
For postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students who receive their confirmation of place after registration has opened for all students at the beginning of September, they will receive their registration e-mail within the next 24-48 hours. If your e-mail doesn't arrive within this time then please contact us at student-registration@ncl.ac.uk.
Q: I just finished a course with the University and have been accepted onto a new one, can I register for it through S3P straight away?
Q: I just finished a course with the University and have been accepted onto a new one, can I register for it through S3P straight away?A: We ask that students who have recently completed a course with the university and have received their confirmation of place wait for their new registration e-mail for their new course before logging into S3P to register for it. This is important as the student record and S3P account needs to be fully updated with the new course and finance details, and we know that this has completed when the registration e-mail is sent out.
Q: I have received my registration e-mail but the university e-mail account login details don't seem to be working. What do I do?
Q: I have received my registration e-mail but the university e-mail account login details don't seem to be working. What do I do?A: If the username and password details for your university e-mail account don't allow you to log in to retrieve your S3P registration e-mail then please contact the IT Service Desk as soon as possible so they can check them for you. The e-mail account login details are also your campus login details so it is important that they are fixed quickly if there is an issue with them.
Q: I have logged into my university e-mail account but the login details on the S3P registration e-mail aren't working. What do I do?
Q: I have logged into my university e-mail account but the login details on the S3P registration e-mail aren't working. What do I do?A: Check that the correct details have been entered into the log in screen of S3P; the password for the university e-mail account is different to the S3P account even though the username is the same for both (please see the step-by-step guide for more information about the online registration process). If the password from the S3P e-mail doesn't allow you to log in then you can reset the password using the link on the log in page. An e-mail with a new S3P password will then be generated and sent to your University e-mail account (this can take up to fifteen minutes during busy periods). This should allow you to log in to complete your registration, but if it doesn't then please contact the IT Service Desk so that they can have a look at this for you.
