Areas of expertise

I've been here since 2000, teaching, supervising, and researching post-1914 British history. My research interests include twentieth century and contemporary British politics, Biography, Political parties, Elections, Government and Media. I've recently published articles on Liberal politics in the First World War, the 1918 General Election, and the Labour Party and strategic bombing in the Second World War, and have co-edited two volumes on the British Abroad which came out with Palgrave in October 2013.
