William Webster - newly appointed Demonstrator

One of our recent appointments in the School of Psychology is William Webster who has joined us as a Demonstrator.  William has been interested in the field of Forensic Psychology since 2007 and completed his Forensic Psychology degree at Teesside University and a year later, graduated with an MSc in Forensic Psychology.

The area of research that William is specifically interested in is the investigative interviewing of sexual offence/rape victims and it is this interest that shaped the focus of his PhD.  William's thesis entitled, ‘The impact of investigative interviews on rape victims: Towards a more effective framework for police investigators’ is due for submission in the coming months.

Prior to William's appointment at Newcastle University, he worked in a range of different settings that has included academia, the Probation Trust and most recently in the private sector where he worked with vulnerable youths.  We are delighted to welcome William to the school.
