Background
Prior to starting here at Newcastle, I worked as an Academic Assistant teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Here at Newcastle I am module leader for Developmental Psychology at stage 1, and Sensation and Perception in Atypical Development at stage 3. I also contribute to a number of other undergraduate modules. My research is in tactile processing in typical and atypical development, with a specific focus on unusual tactile processing in children with ASD and children with ADHD.

Research Interests
I am interested in sensory processing differences in typical and atypical development. My PhD research focus is on tactile sensitivity in autism and ADHD.
Current Work
I am currently exploring visual - tactile integration in autism and ADHD.
Undergraduate Teaching
I teach first year Developmental Psychology, and demonstrate on a number of research methods and statistics modules (PSY1010. PSY1011, PSY2009 and PSY2011).
I am also on the teaching team for the Joint Honours Programme.
