Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme helps businesses to innovate and grow. It does this by linking them with a university and a graduate to work on a specific, strategic project.

Each KTP is a three-way partnership between a business, an academic and a researcher known as the Associate.

The Associate is employed by the university but is based at the business.

A KTP can last between 12 and 36 months.

Projects are funded by Innovate UK (Formerly known as the Technology Strategy Board) and UK Reseach Council.
