Age UK North Tyneside is a registered charity and independent SME and that provides a range of support and care services for older people in the region.

They worked with Newcastle University’s Institute of Ageing and Institute of Health & Society on this KTP.

The Business Need

By 2030, there is expected to be a 51% increase in people with dementia living in North Tyneside. To meet this challenge, Age UK NT recognised that they needed to strategically review their dementia service provision.

Newcastle University has exceptional academic strength in ageing, within a wide variety of fields including primary care, dementia, wellbeing in older people and health economics.
