Staff Profile

John is a novelist and playwright who dabbles in the occasional short story and non-fiction piece. He has a BA in Political Science from Hampshire College, an MA in Science, Technology, and International Affairs from The George Washington University, and an MA and a PhD in Creative Writing from Northumbria University. He also has an interest in digital creativity and has been making Web things since the day there was suddenly a Web.

Publications include Fontoon, a novel published by Dedalus Books, and the forthcoming Surrealpolitik: Surreality and the National Security State from Zero Books, based on his PhD research. In addition, he is the founding editor of Bratum Books and a contributor to its Uncommonalities series of short stories, of which there are currently three volumes. His plays of various lengths have been performed at Off Off Broadway venues in New York, Ireland, and England.
