The Fine Art building houses some of the best purpose-built studios in the country. It also houses a student-run cafe, seminar rooms and a large lecture theatre. The extensive workshop facilities have been designed to complement the various working approaches, materials and processes of students studying fine art.
We have outstanding specialist music facilities and excellent teaching facilities, including a 100-seat lecture theatre, two 50-seat lecture theatres and three 25-seater seminar rooms. We also offer access to a wide array of equipment and instruments. This includes a large collection of 'early music' instruments.
Media, Culture, Heritage
Our students have access to a wealth of facilities both on campus and in the local area to support their studies. Media, Culture, Heritage is based on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Armstrong Building. Here there are a number of high-specification lecture and seminar rooms, and a green screen room. Some film teaching facilities are in the University's Culture Lab. This is a unique research infrastructure, providing an environment for academics and practitioners working beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries.
