  • Professor of Soil Science

Yit Arn Teh is Professor of Soil Science in the Earth, Oceans and Planetary Sciences group. He is a biogeochemist and ecosystem ecologist, studying the role of soils in ecosystem function. His research focuses on greenhouse gas exchange, terrestrial carbon cycling and nitrogen dynamics in human-modified ecosystems. His interdisciplinary research group draws on a broad range of analytical techniques taken from atmospheric chemistry, soil science, isotope geochemistry, microbial ecology and remote sensing to answer fundamental questions about terrestrial biogeochemistry.
