EPSRC Innovation Placements

Do you have a project that could benefit from a PhD student's expertise?

Do you have a project that could benefit from a PhD student's expertise? Do you have funding available to support postgraduate students funded via the Engineering & Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) to access additional Innovation placement opportunities?

Placement funding is to be used for existing EPSRC funded students working in areas of relevance to the Industrial Strategy themes:

  • healthcare and medicine
  • robotics and artificial intelligence
  • batteries for clean and flexible energy storage
  • self-driving vehicles
  • manufacturing and materials of the future
  • satellites and space technology 

Potential Funding required to support a Postgraduate Researcher on placment:

  • a maximum of £5,000 per student for UK placements
  • a maximum of £7,500 per student for International placement
  • a living allowance of up to £1,231 per calendar month
  • any additional costs relevant to the placement
