Staff Profile

Emma Davison

Faculty Engagement Administrator

Background

As Engagement Administrator, my role is to provide administrative support to the Deputy Director of Faculty Operations (DDoFO) Laura Thomson and our Dean of Internationalisation & Engagement Dr Phil McGowan based in the Faculty Executive Office on the 2nd Floor in Devonshire.

I am the main point of contact for all international activity and projects in the faculty and my main role in relation to this is to maintain a record of all internationalisation activity for the faculty such as partnership agreements, events and visits working with both schools and central services to communicate plans to ensure maximum impact of these activities and provide support where needed.

We have recently set up an Engagement & Internationalisation Forum for staff supporting internationalisation activity within the faculty to meet, receive information and share good practice which is currently held monthly to discuss a variety of topics and intended to provide the opportunity cross-faculty discussions that will inevidently strengthen engagement.

I worked for the university as part of the Joint Research Office back in 2011 and then as Data Manager for the Keeping Children Safe Research study before working for City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Trust for 5 years where I ran a project to help reduce alcohol related violence before coming back to the University in April 2018 as part of the Engagement team.
